Excursions
We
organize ( on reservation only) free guided visits to “Pozzi
della Piana” and “Fosso della Contea”.
Clothes required: trekking shoes, tracksuit and…..adventure spirit!
 Il Fosso della Contea. After
30 minutes walk we reach Fosso della Conte, natural bounder between the
land of Titignano and Todi since Middle Ages. You can descend the ditch
and go through until the confluence of Tiber river Plunged in the woods
of maquis you enter “Forra dei Montemarte”, a narrow gorge with rock
walls over 10 metres high that were formed over 1 million year ago with
the corrosive action of waters
 I pozzi della Piana.
In
the territory of the estate of Titignano it is possible
to visit a cave, indicated by CAI of Perugia as one of the
longest and interesting among other known caves. It
is 3100 metres of marvellous path; halls, tunnels, lakes with white sand
( limestone), bottlenecks that follow to
big halls as “ Dead Gallery” “ Bear hall”, Gothic gallery”
and the “Whirpool hall” a circular 40 metres ambient surrounded by
stalagmites. In the vault there are marvellous patterns created by the
whirl of the waters
before
the emptying of Lake Tiberino during
Pliocene Era ( only about 1 million year ago!!!). Per
